Groundworks & Structural Preparation

Accurate preparation is the foundation of every successful build. I carry out all aspects of setting‑out, ensuring geometry, levels, and alignment are precise from the very start. My groundworks experience includes mass‑fill foundations, footing blocks, brick foundations, reinforced concrete slabs, oversite concreting, and structural drainage systems including storm, foul, treatment plants, manholes, and soakaways.

With decades of plant experience — from 1‑ton to 23‑ton tracked diggers, wheeled excavators, dumpers, teleporters, and rollers — I deliver safe, efficient, and accurate excavation and preparation on projects of all sizes.

Brickwork, Blockwork & Flintwork

I specialise in high‑quality masonry, covering all traditional and modern techniques. This includes face brickwork, stretcher bond, English bond, Flemish bond, and a full range of pointing styles such as stick, iron, weather‑struck, and cut‑off.

My blockwork covers aerated blocks, dense concrete blocks, and structural blockwork. I also undertake random and coursed flintwork, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern accuracy.

Engineer‑designed retaining walls and structural brickwork are completed to exact specifications, ensuring long‑term stability and strength.

Structural Installations & Framing

I install all forms of structural steel including wind posts, beams, posts, and lintels, ensuring correct bearing, alignment, and integration with surrounding materials.

Timber and metal studwork, gluelam beams, roof trusses, and first‑ and second‑fix carpentry are carried out with precision, forming the backbone of reliable, long‑lasting construction.

Roofing & Leadwork

From traditional to modern roofing systems, I construct lean‑to, gable, and hip roofs, along with warm roofs, vented flat roofs, and full roof repairs.

I complete felt, batten, and tile installations to manufacturer requirements, and undertake leadwork including flashing, stepped flashing, back gutters, and valleys.

I also fit Velux windows, roof lanterns, conservation roof lights, and flat‑roof windows — single or multiple installations.

External Works & Landscaping

I offer a wide range of external improvements including patios (slabs, brick pavers, porcelain), raised beds, garden walls, farm gates, side gates, and fencing of all types (post and rail, closeboard using timber or concrete posts).

Cladding options include timber and composite, installed with accuracy and weather‑resistant detailing.

Guttering installations cover plastic, cast iron, aluminium, and copper systems.

Internal Works & Finishing

I carry out complete bathroom installations, kitchen fitting, and ceramic/porcelain tiling for floors and walls.

Internal finishing includes plasterboarding, decorating, floating floors, laminate and engineered flooring, and window installations in timber, plastic, or aluminium.

Fireplace work includes brick or rendered fireplaces, repairs, openings, lintels, and beams. I also undertake chimney repairs or removal of redundant chimneys.

Repairs, Maintenance & Specialist Work

I provide a full range of repair services including brick replacement, repointing, roof repairs, chimney repairs, and structural adjustments.

Drainage improvements, soakaways, and service installations — water, gas, electric, telephone ducting — are completed with care and compliance.
